When you think about this history of professional wrestling, specifically tag team wrestling, there are some phenomenal names that come to mind: Fabulous Freebirds, Hart Foundation, Legion of Doom, The Rockers, The New Age Outlaws, etc…  I could go on for a long time!  However, when you ask me to name tag teams over the course of the last few years and I tend to struggle to find many “real” teams that weren’t just thrown together for a limited run.  Some of the decent team names that come to mind are Motor City Machine Guns, Beer Money Inc., British Invasion, [...]

Didn’t catch ECW on SyFy this week because you’re playing too much Modern Warfare 2?  Well I took a break from the console to actually watch some wrestling.  Here’s what happened:
Zack Ryder with Rosa Mendez vs. Shelton Benjamin
WINNER: Shelton Benjamin via pin fall after hitting Pay Dirt.  It was announced during the match that if Benjamin won, he’d become the new #1 contender for the ECW title.

After the match, the ECW Champion, Christian comes down to the ring to discus with Benjamin the TLC PPV in 3 weeks.  He said that since ECW has been over looked at PPVs recently, [...]

WWE Raw is back this week with a 3-hour Thanksgiving spectacular that did not disappoint!  Here’s what happened:
The night was kicked off by announcing the guest host for the evening, Jessie Ventura.  However, Randy Orton’s music hits, and he walks out to the ring.

Orton says, “he’s heard stories from his father that Jessie Ventura was a rule breaker… Orton suggests that Ventura should remove the ban on him getting a WWE Title shot.
