Wrestling Video Games Through The Years

AUTHOR: Daniel Correia | IN: Wrestling | COMMENTS: 2 Comments |

I figured that I would give you a break from all the news & notes and play up that nostalgic feeling for us wrestling fans. Today, I’ve scoured youtube to try and find clips from wrestling video games over the years starting back on the Atari 2600 going all the way to the present. It’s just amazing how far things have come over the past 25+ years when it comes to video games. Enjoy the trip down memory lane!

Title Match Pro Wrestling – Atari 2600

WWF Wrestlemania – NES

WCW World Championship Wrestling – NES

WWF Wrestlefest – Arcade

WWF: King of the Ring – NES

WCW SuperBrawl – SNES

WWF Royal Rumble – SNES

WWF Wrestlemania Arcade – SNES

WCW vs the World – PS

WWF War Zone – PS

ECW Hardcore Revolution – N64

WWF Smackdown! – Playstation

WWE SMACKDOWN HERE COMES THE PAIN – PS2

TNA Impact – XBox 360

Smackdown vs Raw 2010 – PS3

Now I know I missed some games in between the years. WWE had way to many to list here, but I just wanted to give you a general overview of how graphics have come along and how lifelike things are now. If there’s a game that you know of that’s NOT a mainstream WWF/WWE, WCW, etc. game that I missed, be sure to comment the post and educate me. Point me to a link or a video so I can see for myself.
