Here’s the rundown for Superstars on 11/5/09:

Santino Marella defeats Chavo Guerrero via small package pin fall.

Jack Swagger defeats Primo via pin fall after hitting the Gut Wrench Power Bomb.

Paul Burchill (w/ Katie Lea) defeats Tyler Reks via pin fall after hitting the Danger Buster (brain buster).

Video Package: Rey Mysterio and Batista situation.

Chris Jericho defeats Finlay via pin fall after hitting the Code Breaker.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

If you haven’t gotten a chance to have a listen to the full theme song of Superstars, entitled Invincible, check out the band, Adelita’s Way (www.myspace.com/adelitasway).  The WWE version is slightly altered to suit the entrance video, but I really enjoy the full track!

Santino vs. Chavo was a fairly entertaining match, but it was mainly because of Santino antics.  If you don’t care for Santino, then you probably would’ve been annoyed by this match up.

Line of the night:
Jerry Lawler about Jack Swagger – “He’s mean!  The McDonald’s he goes to doesn’t even serve Happy Meals!”

Poor Tyler Reks!  This guy can’t catch a break.  First people on Twitter start dogging him for being boring as hell in the ring, but now he can’t get a victory, even on Superstars.  I don’t forsee him getting a win any time soon… I think he’s going to go the way of Gavin Spears, right out the back door never to be seen in WWE again.

The main event was decent.  Two wrestlers who can put on a technically sound match up!  Of course Jericho won… Finlay’s slowly becoming a veteran jobber.  Don’t like to say that when the guy’s had a hell of a career, but it’s the truth.
