Here’s what went down on ECW on Syfy for 11/10/09 from England:

Video Package: Special video in honor of our military for the celebration of Veteran’s Day.

ECW theme video followed by a graphic about the main event tonight for the ECW Championship between Christian and William Regal.

Tony Atlas introduces Abraham Washington and the Abraham Washington Show.

• Abraham makes some stupid jokes about people of England and their bad teeth.
• Special guest is announced, Yoshi Tatsu.   They go back and forth with the crazy, “Thank yous.”  Abe tells Tony to shut up with his laughing.
• He asks Yoshi, who he thinks will win the main event match tonight… Yoshi responds that Christian will win tonight.
• Yoshi: “You don’t understand the words that are coming out of my mouth?”
• Abraham: “Nobody understands the word that are coming out of your mouth… you wanna be Jackie Chan!”
• Yoshi: “If I’m Jackie Chan, then you are stupid Chris Tucker!”

Video Package:  Look back on the rivalry between Christian and William Regal.

Goldust defeats Paul Burchill (with Katie Lea) via pin fall after The Hurricane’s music hit, he came to the ring, and distracted Burchill.  Goldust then hit the “Final Cut”  (Suplex/Neck Breaker) for the win.

Backstage: Zack Ryder tells Rosa Mendez that she did a good job last week and that he likes her.  Then it shows a silly ass dream sequence where they’re skipping down the hallway backstage.

Backstage: William Regal is talking with ECW GM, Tiffany, about the ECW title match tonight.  Saying that things are going to be great when he’s the new ECW champion.  Tiffany says they got off on the wrong foot and that she’d like a fresh start, whether or not he’s ECW Champion.

Vance Archer defeats Jason Blackwell (jobber) via pin fall after hitting a Reverse DDT.

Main Event – ECW Championship
Christian retains the ECW Championship after defeating William Regal via pin fall hitting the Kill Switch for the 1-2-3!

QUICK THOUGHTS:

This was one of the first times I actually didn’t hate the Abraham Washington Show segment.  The Rush Hour joke kind of caught me off guard and yet it was blatantly obvious that they could make it with Tatsu on the mic.  Washington is still annoying, but today, it was bearable.

Okay if last week’s segment wasn’t a little stupid with Zack Ryder and Rosa Mendez, this week’s turned up the stupid factor to 11 with the skipping dream sequence!  WTF WWE!!!

I’m hoping and waiting for WWE to make a match up between Vance Archer and Tyler Reks so that the surf bum can get blasted back to the beaches of SoCal.  He’s not going to be going anywhere, so why leave him on TV for more than one more match?  Archer looks to be a better star than Reks.

Decent main event.  It wasn’t my favorite match that these two have had over the past few months.  The best part about this match was that there was no post match beat down on Christian from Regal and his goons.
