Didn’t catch ECW from yesterday (11/17/09)?  Well, here’s what you missed:

Backstage: CM Punk is in the house.  Tells us his history as a former ECW champion and that it’s like a conqueror returning home.

Zack Ryder and Rosa Mendez come down to the ring.  Ryder pays her a ton of compliments and asks her to be in his corner again for another rematch against Shelton Benjamin.

• Benjamin comes down to the ring and accepts his challenge, but suggests that Rosa and him do some wrestling of their own… (Umm… this is TV-PG?)  Then says to Ryder, “You’ve always been a tool, but since Rosa’s been in your corner, you should call yourself Black & Decker because now you’re a power tool!”
• Ryder says the match won’t be tonight, and then sucker punches Benjamin.

Video Package:  The history of the feud between The Hurricane and Paul Burchill.

Mask vs. Career Match
The Hurricane defeated Paul Burchill (with Katie Lea) via pin fall after hitting a swinging neck breaker from off the top rope.  After the match both Burchills were in disbelief that their careers with WWE were over.

Backstage: Tiffany is watching the program as CM Punk enters her office.  Punk confronts her about her liking to party and drink.  She replies, “loosen up and just be a human being!”

Vance Archer defeated Johnny Andrews via pin fall after hitting a reverse DDT.

Josh Matthews and Byron Saxton run down Survivor Series.

Backstage: Christian is approached by CM Punk.  Christian questions him about being straight edge, “Are you allowed to hold hands with a girl?  If you miss curfew, do you get grounded?”  Calls CM Punk a nerd!

Tag Team Main Event
CM Punk and William Regal defeated R-Truth and Christian via pin fall after Punk hit GTS on Christian.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

Zack Ryder is trying to WOO WOO WOO Rosa Mendez… BARF!!!  Three words, WE WANT WRESTLING!

The identity of the Hurricane is safe!  Well, sort of… we all really know it’s Gregory Helms, right?!?

So just because CM Punk is straight edge means that he’s not a human being!?!?  That’s kind of jacked up WWE writers!  People have their reasons for doing things.  I’m not really into WWE vilifying being straight edge, but Punk is a really good heel so I guess I’ll tolerate it.

Vance Archer destroys another jobber.  When will we get to see him actually face someone from ECW that we know?

Main event was just average for me.  Had to catch the end of the match on WWE.com because my DVR cut off.  If you ever miss an episode of ECW, Superstars, or Smackdown, WWE.com now shows them online!
