Video Package: Recap of how Kenny King & Rhett Titus put Jerry Lynn out of action, and how Austin Aries burned Tyler Black.

Eddie Kingston comes out to the ring for his match, but before it, Chris Hero comes out to say that Kingston will NEVER be as good as “that young knockout kid” Chris Hero.  Hero then takes a seat at ringside.

Eddie Kingston vs. Claudio Castagnoli
WINNER: Eddie Kingston via pin fall after hitting a back fist whilst holding the “loaded” elbow pad of Chris Hero’s that was presumably stolen from the locker room.  Chris Hero, who was at ringside, was a little perturbed!

Video Package: Kenny King talking about himself and his future as a ROH contender for the title!

Dark City Fight Club (Jon Davis & Kory Chavis) vs. the Briscoe Bros. (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe)
WINNERS: Double Count Out.  The match turned into an all out brawl on the outside and into the crowd.  Had to be broken up by referees and wrestlers from the back!

Backstage: Kyle Durdan is with the ROH World Champion, Austin Aries.  Durden asks the champ about his feelings on Tyler Black coming back next week.  A Double’s response, “He better watch out or he might get burned again!”  He then calls out Colt Cabana and says “he’s going to slap the STER off the jokester to reveal what he really is, A JOKE!”

The Set vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico
WINNERS: Kevin Steen & El Generico via pin fall after Generico & Steen hit a combo swanton/frog splash!  Basically a job match for The Set.

Non-Title Main Event
Colt Cabana vs. Austin Aries
WINNER: Austin Aries via submission due to Last Chancery.  Kenny King and Rhett Titus came down to ring side and distracted the referee.  Brent Albright tried to grab King, but it was no use.  A Double took advantage of the distraction to hit Cabana from behind and force him to tap out!

QUICK THOUGHTS:

In the opening contest Castagnoli used the very old timey Airplane Spin… I’ve never understood the point of that maneuver.  Yes, it disorients your opponent, but it also makes you just as dizzy!  WHY DO IT?!?

The tag team match up between DCFC and the Briscoes was strength and power versus strength and power, and they didn’t disappoint!  These four bulls locked horns and a brawl ensued!  ROH is looking like they might have something HUGE planned for the tag teams which is awesome for me, especially after my piece that went live this morning on tag teams!

The main event did not disappoint…well there was one thing that was disappointing, it was a non-title match up!  Even with the distraction and outside interference, I’m just sick of Austin Aries either being in non-title match ups against contenders or in title defenses against schmucks in the silly Lucky Lottery!  I would like to see Aries defend against a worthy competitor, like Tyler Black!
