Prohibition On Beer Money

AUTHOR: | IN: Wrestling | COMMENTS: None Yet

There was an article that came out the other day on http://www.pwtorch.com that talked about former TNA Tag Team Champions, Beer Money Inc. being practically “expendable” by creative team member, Vince Russo.  Apparently, Beer Money member, James Storm, was a little pissed off that he and his tag team partner, Robert Roode, didn’t get a larger role on the LIVE Impact back on January 4th, and this statement by Russo was a way to “send them a message.” Now I don’t know where they officially stand in the grand scheme of the locker room, but considering the diminishing role of [...]

Sunday Funday – Links/News

AUTHOR: | IN: Wrestling | COMMENTS: None Yet

Greetings to everyone out there in the world!  It’s Sunday, and I’m getting ready to be lazy and watch football!  I figured I’d pass along some funny links, news, and maybe even a rumor or two to give you all something to read today. One of my favorite things to look up on Youtube is called Botchamania and now they have their own website! Botchamania is a collection of wrestling videos where either wrestlers/announcers either botched their spots or something they said in a promo/commentary. It has it’s moments where it’s really funny to watch, and it also has it’s [...]

After last week’s performance, Rey Mysterio gets to go to the Royal Rumble next weekend, but this week he decides to call out “The Dead Man!”  Here’s what happened on Smackdown: Batista vs. Finlay WINNER: Finlay via DQ after Batista refused to let go of an eye gouge. After match, Batista destroyed Finlay outside of the ring into the announce table, barricade, steel post and steps.  He slides Finlay back in the ring and grabs a mic, “Imagine that (points at Finlay) times 29… I’m going to win the Royal Rumble and your (The Undertaker‘s) WrestleMania streak will end!” Video [...]

Backstage: Limousine pulls up and out climbs 3 women, Ric Flair and TNA World Champion, AJ Styles. Ric Flair comes to the ring with two of the lovely ladies and says, there are 3 reasons why I’m here: 1) “I hate Hulk Hogan and we’re going to resolve our issues here in TNA.” 2) [...]

Is Six Greater Than Four?

AUTHOR: | IN: Wrestling | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

If you got a chance to read my blog from Monday morning or were able to see the TNA Genesis PPV with your own eyes, then you already know that TNA wrestling has done away with their quirky 6-sided ring and have now gone back to a traditional 4-sided ring.  Now if you don’t know the beginnings of TNA Wrestling, let me quickly fill you in.  TNA was once affiliated with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) in their early years.  When they first formed (2002), TNA DID have the traditional ring setup.  It was only after they were in a [...]

Drama At TNA Tapings

AUTHOR: | IN: Wrestling | COMMENTS: None Yet

If you haven’t read the wrestling news wires over the course of the last 24 hours, you’ve missed a lot of drama with TNA, their fans, and their hired talent. 1) Cram This has a video from someone’s cell phone of a pre-production meeting between TNA Director of Production, Steve Small, and the “cast members.”  Well, turns out those “cast member” are the audience. The video was pulled off of Youtube originally at the request of TNA, but thanks to Cram This it’s still up and running.  The video shows Small and two other people in the ring telling the [...]
