What’s up everyone? I just wanted to make sure I got a post in today before Superstars and Impact later on tonight, so here’s some of the top stories from the past few days:
*** Awesome Kong sues Bubba The Love Sponge ***
- Kong got a random phone call in the middle of the night from a blocked number that made a racial slur against her and her stance on helping the people in Haiti… the kicker, it was Bubba LIVE on his early morning radio show. If you remember, Bubba made a very ridiculous statement about the people in Haiti and Kong attacked him backstage for his ignorance. Nothing has been set in stone for some sort of hearing. (Good for Kong though!)
*** WWE NXT debuts; Star already injured? ***
- WWE NXT debuted Tuesday evening and drew 1.7 million viewers. The downside to this was the fact that NXT rookie and indy sensation, Daniel Bryan was injured during his match with Chris Jericho. Bryan hit his back and leg on the announce table when he flew through the ropes on a suicide dive. So far, it’s being reported that the injuries are minor, with only a few visible bruises and scrapes. (THANK GOD!)
*** Major Networks Catch Fire ***
- At the Elimination Chamber PPV, if you watched it or read my blog you’d know, there was a pyro accident involving The Undertaker’s coat catching on fire and him getting burned pretty decently. Well it garnered national attention this week as CNN showed the fan video on it’s news broadcast. (WTF WWE?!? You allow CNN to show the footage, but you take that off Youtube so I can’t show my readers!!! ASSHOLES!!!)
*** Hall of Fame Diss! ***
- WWE has their annual Hall of Fame induction ceremony the night before WrestleMania. It was planned to have former World Champion The Ultimate Warrior as their marquee name after they finally settled their differences, but it looks like the Warrior is walking away again, leaving the WWE hanging. Now, it’s looking as if that marquee induction will be bestowed upon the Hart family patriarch Stu Hart.
