WWE NXT Season 3 Premiere

After a successful second season, WWE NXT is back, and this time around 6 rookie divas get the chance to become WWE’s next break out star.  Which diva will rise above the rest?  Find out what happened on episode one:

Matt Striker is in the ring and he introduces the WWE Pros who then intro their rookies.

• Kelly Kelly – Naomi
• The Bella Twins – Jamie
• Primo – AJ
• Alicia Fox – Maxine
• Goldust – Aksana
• Vickie Guerrero – Kaitlyn (Vickie also explains that her original diva was fired.)

Striker gives each diva a chance to introduce themselves to the WWE Universe.  Vickie has her rookie Kaitlyn re-do her introduction to “make it right.”

After the commercial, Matt Striker says that in four weeks there is going to be an elimination… The winner of the most challenges before then will be immune from the elimination.

• The first challenge is a dance competition… but the women need partners… those happen to be Michael Cole, Tony Chimel, and Josh Matthews.

WINNER: Naomi via fan vote

Naomi & Kelly Kelly vs. Alicia Fox/Maxine
WINNERS: Naomi/Kelly via pin fall

• Botched finish – Ref counted three when the pin fall was supposed to be broken up.

Matt Striker intros the next challenge, Capture The Flag.  There are 5 flag stations each one with one less flag than before. One diva that doesn’t get a flag, is eliminated.

WINNER: Naomi

Goldust & Aksana vs. Primo & AJ
WINNERS: Primo/AJ via pin fall after AJ hit Aksana with a bull dog headlock

• Botched finish – Botched the first attempt at final spot, so they attempted for a second time.
• Post match, Vickie Guerrero drags her rookie back into the ring because she wants her to complete her introduction promo again.
• Primo tells Vickie to let AJ have her moment because she just won her first match.  AJ tells Vickie to go away.
• Vickie is angry and tells Kaitlyn to get AJ.  Kaitlyn doesn’t know what to do, so she actually tries to attack AJ who thwarts the attempt and runs her into Vickie knocking her to the mat.
• Vickie is pissed off and walks out.  Kaitlyn follows behind trying to apologize.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

Well, what a great first episode of NXT Season 3… SARCASM!!!  Two crappy challenges.  Two crappy matches with two botched finishes.  And a partridge in a pear tree!

So yeah, the amazon woman, Aloisia, was removed from the roster of rookies.  She was originally supposed to be Vickie Guerrero’s rookie, but the rumor going around is that some “adult themed photos” have been floating around the internet of her, and she was pulled from the show.  She’s NOT fired, but back in WWE Developmental.

Watching this season is going to be as appealing as a root canal!
