Okay, I lied. You’ll likely see a ton of terrible wrestling puns in the near future.
For starters, my name is Colin Kriegel. I am from a small town called Delphos, Ohio and am currently living in Toledo, Ohio. I have been an avid wrestling fan for roughly 15 years now. (mostly WWE, maybe some TNA when I’m really bored). I’m getting into this blog at the perfect time of the ‘wrestling season” because it is what we fans know as the start to the “Road to Wrestlemania.” Tonight’s Monday Night Raw live from Tampa is rumored to “have us talking” by 11:08 (EST).
It’s a busy night in Florida as The NCAA Football National Championship is also in the same time slot as Raw, much to the chagrin, I’m sure, of the WWE as they have been struggling with some of their worst ratings in 15 years. The WWE’s attempt at battling the National Title Game? Bring in “The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment,” The Rock. Tonight’s appearance, in all likelihood, will really light the fuse for the CM Punk/Rock feud heading into the Royal Rumble. This is assuming CM Punk can get past Ryback in a TLC Match that was originally scheduled for the TLC Pay-Per-View last month until Punk went in for arthroscopic knee surgery.
WWE.com has reported, however, that Punk has indeed been medically cleared for tonight’s match. It’s hard to tell how hard the two will go in such a high risk match with Punk coming off the surgery and Ryback being such a risk simply as a human being. Also, with The Rock being in the house, there are a million and one directions tonight’s show could go.
I really hope to get this blog going full force and hopefully gain a lot of readership. Feel free to weigh in with your opinions on my entries (but be careful, I can talk about wrestling all day, so clear your schedule). I will catch up with you all Tuesday afternoon sometime with my Raw review/reactions. You can be easily annoyed/entertained by following me on twitter @colinkriegel. I tweet mostly wrestling and sports (Michigan, Reds, occasional Raiders banter) and the occasional complaint about life and work.
Thanks for joining me! Buckle up, and Roll Tide, folks.
