After the WWE Universe went a week without hearing from Triple H, whom was knocked out by Big Show last week on Raw, the COO and Stephanie McMahon appeared on Monday Night Raw.
Stephanie McMahon began the segment by promoting the idea that the Big Show showed a disrespect for their kindness. McMahon, after a reaction by those in attendance, updated the storyline by reminding everyone that Big Show had been fired and that the family is pressing charges against the *former* WWE superstar. McMahon then puffed up the chest of her husband, Triple H.
That would be when Triple H took the microphone. Triple H suggested that his past two years of being COO was all for the WWE universe. Triple H claimed that last week was his breaking point when he was lying in the middle of the ring after being knocked out with the crowd was chanting “Yes!”.
Triple H went on to cut a promo on how he is welcomed to the idea of being the bad guy and that there would be severe consequences to anyone that opposed him.
That would be when Daniel Bryan entered the stage and began a “Yes!” chant. Bryan was consequently attacked by Alberto Del Rio while McMahon and Triple H looked on.
After Bryan was hit with a super-kick by Del Rio, McMahon announced that Bryan would face Del Rio later in the night on Raw.
There is growing speculation that Triple H will return to the ring to face Big Show at some point in the near future. That idea was indirectly alluded to by Triple H in his promo against the Big Show on Monday night. The match between Big Show and Triple H will likely be a stepping stone to another angle of this storyline of the authoritative power of McMahon and the COO.
