SPOILER: Royal Rumble Match Made at SmackDown

SPOILER ALERT: This post contains spoilers for this Friday’s SmackDown.

According to PWMania.com, at Tuesday night’s SmackDown taping, a match was made for the 2014 Royal Rumble.

Reports say that a Miz Tv segment was filmed, with Big Show as the guest. Big Show talked about his altercation with Brock Lesnar at Raw. Paul Heyman appeared to cut a promo talking up Lesnar. At this point, Big Show challenged Lesnar to a match at the Royal Rumble. Heyman accepted as a representative of Lesnar.

This match seemed pretty destined to happen after their altercation on this past Monday’s Raw. I predict this will be a pretty good match. The two big men are both experienced in the ring and are very capable of good matches.

Lesnar should get the win in this one. Since he returned, he has beat Triple H and CM Punk, he needs to get a victory over another monster, and Big Show is the perfect candidate.

A win here against Big Show would be a good start in building Lesnar for a match at WrestleMania XXX against The Undertaker.

Along with Big Show vs. Lesnar, here is what is already confirmed for the January pay-per-view:

  • Randy Orton vs. John Cena (WWE World Heavyweight Championship match)
  • Batista and Alberto Del Rio confirmed to participate in the Royal Rumble match

This is shaping up to be a good Royal Rumble, and with a few weeks left before the event, a lot more could happen.
