Report: WWE’s Brock Lesnar in contract talks with the UFC

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that WWE superstar Brock Lesnar is still in talks with the UFC over a contract that would bring Lesnar back to the promotion for the first time since 2011.

Lesnar went 5-3 in the UFC and lost his last fight with the organization to Alistair Overeem. He was a one-time UFC Heavyweight Champion with two successful title defenses.

With the WWE, Lesnar has been WWE Champion three times, King of the Ring, and has won the Royal Rumble.

Lesnar returned to the WWE in 2012 and has left his mark yet again in the WWE. With the new year came new goals for Lesnar who wants the winner of John Cena vs. Randy Orton at the Royal Rumble in a championship match. Last night on Old School RAW, Lesnar injured Mark Henry’s arm before being confronted by the Big Show. It’s expected Lesnar will wrestle Big Show at the Royal Rumble.

As for his contract talks with the UFC, rumor is that Lesnar and his management team are using both promotions and putting them against each other to drive up the demands of his contract and get probably more than he is worth.

Should Lesnar sign with the UFC again, Dana White won’t make any comments unless Lesnar indeed signs to return to the promotion.
