Dolph Ziggler’s comments on Randy Orton ended his WWE title push

Dolph Ziggler is one of the hottest and most impressive wrestlers on the WWE roster today. However after finally beginning to get the push for a WWE Championship run, it came crashing down suddenly.

According to F4WOnline, Ziggler’s comments in an interview during the SummerSlam build-up is actually would ended Ziggler’s push by WWE Officials.

“I’ve made it clear; I’m not patient at all – several times. I’ve been very vocal about my position on the card and in the company. I’m not trying to say ‘Hey, everybody sucks and I’m great!’ But I love doing this, and at some point you go ‘OK, It’s not my time right now and I got to figure something out’ And when it’s time, that’s when I must go out there and make as huge of an impact as I can and let everyone know ‘I dare you to follow that, I dare you try something better.’ And when they don’t (counter or match what I’m doing in the ring) I’m very outspoken about it and it can get me into very hot water (with the company).

“Then you never know where we’re going. Everybody can be just so outspoken about taller guys, and guys like Randy Orton being the face of the WWE, the WWE Championship. I dare you to put me in a back alley with Randy Orton or someone like that. I guarantee I’m not afraid of someone taller.”

Ziggler, despite being shoved back into the mid-card of the WWE is still a fan favorite. It seems regardless of whether the WWE wants certain superstars to play the babyface or heel, if the fans feel a star deserves his chance…they will stand behind them. You know like, Daniel Bryan too.

The fact about the WWE is that they go for the cash cows regardless of what the fans want as well as what the wrestlers want. Ziggler is no exception here. He became a star the night after Wrestle Mania and shortly after was concussed by Swagger. Injuries happen, but the way ZIgglers misfortune was dealt with was highly irresponsible by the company. I understand Del Rio works hard and whatnot, but he is as bland of a character as they come. Onto another topic, Big E Langston is loved by Cena, so incidentally he is being pushed and is the IC champ. I have nothing against Langston, but it’s about backstage politics as well. I know what you could say, about Ziggler not being a cash cow, because lets face it, besides the Punk and Yes! shirts you see in the arenas there are a ton of Ziggler shirts as well, to Vince and HHH, nobody wants to see Ziggler vs. Bryan or something along those lines. Vince and HHH aren’t blind when it comes to talent, but they’re blind when it comes to what the fans want. I personally don’t care for the Batista return. Sure it’s going to provide buy rates for PPV’s and some extra ratings but he’s not the guy the E should be pushing. Until the egos of the WWE see the light, guys like Ziggler, Bryan and to an extent Cesaro/Barrett will never see major gold. It’s a damn shame too.

Surprise surprise, Randy Orton is burying another wrestler. How about WWE try to build superstars and quit pushing Orton and Cena constantly.
