Jake “The Snake” Roberts joins The Ultimate Warrior in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014.
Following his appearance on Old School Raw at the beginning of this month, Jake was believed to have been an entrant in the Royal Rumble. Of course, that did not come to fruition.
However, that may all be made up for as he joins the Class of 2014.
Jake definitely deserves it. It would be really special to see Diamond Dallas Page, and maybe even Scott Hall, induct him into the Hall of Fame. Jake’s road to recovery ran through DDP’s “Accountability Crib” and a huge thanks goes to DDP Yoga. Scott Hall made that journey with Jake, as they faced many of the same demons.
That makes two members in the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2014. Both members should bring back memories for the WWE Universe. They were both stars, and brought a lot to the company. They also were both away from the WWE for a long time.
If you combine them with Bruno Sammartino last year, it shows a willingness on WWE’s part to right some of their past wrongs. It shows they are trying to honor the guys who make up WWE’s storied past.
Credit goes to WWE for not holding Jake’s past against him, instead focusing on what he has done in the past year or two in turning his life around.
Congratulations to Jake “The Snake” Roberts for his induction, it is certainly well-deserved.
