Should John Cena main event WrestleMania XXX?

Ten years ago the John Cena era began when “The Champ” defeated The Big Show for the United States Championship at WrestleMania XX. Heading into the thirtieth annual WrestleMania it appears that the face of the WWE may not be in the main event picture at the biggest event of them all!

John Cena lost his re-match against Randy Orton for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship last night, but it was how he lost it that the WWE showed where John Cena was going creatively in the future.

As Cena began to close the match and looked as if he was going to win the match, Bray Wyatt led the Wyatt family to the ring after the lights went out and distracted Cena. It allowed Orton to cover Cena for the win where the Wyatt family would begin an attack on Cena.

While a feud with John Cena would certainly boost Bray Wyatt’s character and establish him as a main event talent, what does this mean for Cena?

Cena has spent much of the last ten years in the main event picture and didn’t spend more than a few minutes as “mid-card” talent. By “mid-card” talent I should clarify that I mean he was a main event star, but not in the championship picture.

Does this decision to put Cena into a storyline with Bray Wyatt do any good for Cena? Is this the end of Cena in the title picture?

After being the face of the WWE for the past decade, some would argue that John Cena deserve to main event the biggest WrestleMania in history. What do you think?
