Numerous sources are reporting on the on going negotiations between the WWE and former WCW/TNA superstar Sting. Some sources are reporting that Sting has already signed a WWE Legends deal while other are reporting he is close to signing a deal but hasn’t just yet.
Another report says that the WWE has to make a decision whether or not to sign Sting within the next two weeks. If not, he will not have a role heading into WrestleMania.
One of the more consistent reports, report that Sting will likely not wrestle the Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX. Should he sign a legends contract, Sting is expected to play a role at WrestleMania and could still have a role in the Undertaker’s match. One report suggests he could be a special referee.
Sting isn’t expected to wrestle the Undertaker because the WWE is strongly behind a Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar match for the streak at WrestleMania. Despite Lesnar being too physical for Undertaker, the company seems set to have this match happen.
Daily DDT will keep you updated on the situation as Sting is considered the greatest wrestler to never perform on the grandest stage of them all. Hopefully Sting has indeed signed a deal and we will see him in New Orleans later this year.
