CM Punk’s departure opens the door for Daniel Bryan vs. Triple H

CM Punk’s sudden departure appears to be a real deal and there is no storyline to it. Punk unhappy with being left out of Monday night’s RAW told Vince McMahon he was going home and did just that.

McMahon had the script for this past Monday’s RAW re-written numerous times before the show went live. At the end of the day, this left Punk out of the show and out of the Elimination Chamber match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Punk was clearly not happy with the booking and felt as a top star, should be included. Therefore, with just a few months left on his contract, Punk walked out and doesn’t seem to be coming back any time soon.

However, that opened the door for a new match. While fans want the WWE to give Daniel Bryan the push he deserves, it seems that won’t be happening anytime soon. The opening segment with Triple H, Stephanie McMahon and Daniel Bryan appears that the WWE is now set to have Triple H vs. Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania XXX.

Of course it has been long in the works for Triple H and CM Punk to face-off, but with Punk gone…that obviously won’t happen.

Should Bryan be heading for WrestleMania in a match against Triple H, I’m expecting to see the Authority play some sort of role at Elimination Chamber that keeps Bryan from winning the title. And the opening segment on this past Monday’s RAW teases that this is indeed the direction the WWE is going on.
