Report: CM Punk quit WWE over WreslteMania and creative differences

The headline of the day is CM Punk has walked out on the WWE just months before his contract is up. The reason has become a bit more clearer though to the media and fans after developing stories and reports.

TMZ Sports is reporting that Vince McMahon informed CM Punk about their plans for WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble, and the WWE World Heavyweight Championship and that is what led to Punk walking out on McMahon and the company.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ Sports … Punk was livid when he learned officials scripted Batista to win the Royal Rumble … because he feels Batista isn’t in great wrestling shape and shouldn’t be featured in the title match at the upcoming WrestleMania (the biggest event of the year).

We’re told Punk feels he earned the right to be in the main event at WrestleMania — because he’s been wrestling tirelessly over the past year from house shows to overseas events. Punk was angry when he found out he’d be wrestling Triple H at WrestleMania instead of squaring off in the title match.

Punk’s departure is a huge blow to the WWE who will be losing one of their top stars. Punk and fellow superstar Daniel Bryan are the hottest and most popular stars on the company’s roster and no matter what direction the WWE sends them in, the fans continue to cheer them on and push for them to be in the title picture.

Punk reportedly has been frustrated in the past year about how the WWE has handled bookings and his creative storylines.
