The main events for the upcoming TNA Lockdown pay-per-views have officially been revealed. During the tapings of upcoming IMPACT Wrestling shows overseas, the two main events were announced including a match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Magnus – who some feel was turned heel too soon – will be challenged by Samoa Joe for the World Heavyweight Championship. Samoa Joe is a former one time TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He is also a two time World Tag Team Champion where one of this two reigns was alongside his opponent for Lockdown, Magnus.
Joe and Magnus are not strangers and their fight for the gold could get personal real quick.
The second main event for the Lockdown of course goes along with the gimmick match that suits the name of the event. It will be a lethal lockdown match featuring Team MVP vs. Team Dixie.
Former WWE superstar MVP made his TNA debut during recent tapings and hasn’t made a friend in Dixie Carter.
MVP has chosen Gunner and the Wolves to team with him to take on Team Dixie. Dixie has selected Bobby Roode, EC3, Rockstar SPud, and James Storm to represent her team in the match.
It was previously reported by some websites that Magnus was on Team Dixie, but that has quickly been corrected and confirmed that James Storm will indeed be on Team Dixie, not Magnus.
