WWE announced on Monday Night Raw that Lita would join The Ultimate Warrior and Jake “The Snake” Roberts in the Class of 2014.
Few people deserve this honor more than Lita. She is one of the best female wrestlers of all time, her time with The Hardy Boyz, and then Edge showed what she could bring as a part of a feud, from the outside. Her part in Edge’s WrestleMania 22 match with Mick Foley is very memorable. There is no forgetting her role when those two parts of her career collided in the Edge-Matt Hardy feud.
That feud came about from real life when Lita started dating Edge on the road, while she was already dating Hardy, who was home with an injury. That became a part of WWE’s storylines, and it was one of the most intense, real feuds the WWE has seen in a long time.
Lita will now join her greatest enemy, Trish Stratus in the Hall of Fame after Trish was inducted last year. Lita and Trish had one of the greatest female feuds of all time, and it would only be fitting if Trish was the person to induct Lita.
The first two inductees in this class were about righting past wrongs, Warrior and Jake have been away for a long time. Lita is not the same, she hasn’t been away all this time. It’s nice to have somebody go into the Hall that didn’t leave on really bad terms that have made her a source of conversation for years.
