Raw Preview: 2/17/2014

One week away from the Network launch, this go-home show should be a little anti-climactic.

The Usos

After their win on Friday’s SmackDown, The Usos seem to be locked into the #1 contender’s spot for the WWE Tag Team Championship. As the card for Elimination Chamber takes shape, a tag team championship should be in the plans. The Usos definitely deserve the chance, they have been one of the brightest spots of the tag team division and deserve a run with the belts.

Jack Swagger

WWE.com’s preview is teasing a match for Swagger on tonight’s show. He became the #1 contender for the Intercontinental Championship on SmackDown, so regardless of what happens something should happen between him and champion Big E.

Daniel Bryan and Kane

As WWE.com points out, it seems likely that we will see more confrontation between Bryan and Kane. The Authority seems unlikely to punish their Director of Operations, so Bryan’s going to have to do it himself. Will tonight set these two up for Kane ruining Bryan’s shot at the WWE World Heavyweight Championship inside the Chamber?

Batista and Alberto Del Rio

Last Monday, Triple H made a match between Batista and Del Rio for this Sunday’s pay-per-view. The two have been feuding since before Batista even returned to TV. While the feud has been lackluster so far, it seems like a good match for Batista. Batista has shown plenty of signs of ring rust, but Del Rio is so good and fluid in the ring, he should be the perfect opponent to help Batista shake off all that rust.

Randy Orton

Orton gets set to battle Sheamus in tonight’s main event, his final test in his five-match series against his Elimination Chamber opponents. Orton comes in 1-3 in his first four matches, and The Authority is starting to lose faith in him. With both these guys presenting some of the best in-ring work of their careers, this should be a very good match. As for the big picture, when the Superstar who goes over on the last show before a pay-per-view, is usually the guy who loses on the pay-per-view. Should be interesting to see how this plays out, not to mention the other four matches.
