On Monday’s Raw, Renee Young announced that Titus O’Neil would take on Darren Young at this Sunday’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
When these two split on SmackDown three weeks ago, it seemed like Young would be left in Titus’ dust as he propelled into stardom. However, Young has spent the past few weeks showing that he belongs in the same league as Titus, and now they will take each other on in a pay-per-view match.
This could be a pretty good match, these two know each other really well from all their work as a tag team and this is their first chance to show what they can be as true singles competitors.
It seems like Titus has a better chance at picking up the victory. He should get a match at WrestleMania, he would match up nicely with Mark Henry, or even for a shot at either the IC or US title. Young will be able to survive this match and move on to a midcard feud with somebody else. A WrestleMania match probably isn’t there for him, but he can still find something to do in the next few weeks.
Here is what the rest of the card looks like for this Sunday:
- WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match
Randy Orton vs. John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Cesaro vs. Christian
- The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family
- WWE Intercontinental Championship Match
Big E vs. Jack Swagger
- Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
- WWE Tag Team Championship Match
The New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos
- Elimination Chamber Kickoff Show
Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Rybaxel
This is the third match that has been announced today, it goes along with two tag matches. These matches have gone a long way in solidifying the card for this show. It feels like so long ago, but this is the first pay-per-view since CM Punk’s departure, and it will go a long way in setting up what the WrestleMania XXX card will look like.
