The first match of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view featured Big E defending his Intercontinental Championship against Jack Swagger.
This was a really good match, I was very impressed. Matches like this, with charismatic talent like these two are what’s going to get the Intercontinental Championship itself over.
Swagger needs to get another push. He lost his push last year due to his arrest, if not for that, he may have won the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 29.
Swagger has paid his dues and he fully deserves to get another push. If he was getting that push, he could have a very high-profile match with Cesaro after they break up from their Ream Americans tag team.
Those two could have a really good match. However, the WWE Universe can’t be expected to believe in this feud as Swagger has gotten an inconsistent push his whole career.
Now that Cesaro is starting to get a big push, including his participation in the Elimination Chamber match.
As for Big E, he should be on his way to a big match at WrestleMania XXX. Big E could meet with somebody like Mark Henry, or even Cesaro, in an Intercontinental Championship defense.
