CM Punk really has WWE in a tough situation. As we reported earlier, wade Barrett was set to do a “Bad News” segment on Punk since they were in Chicago this past Monday. However those plans were changed because WWE decided not to go angle due to Vince McMahon not wanting to bury Punk publicly. What Vince says goes.
Mr. McMahon still has hope that Punk will get his head right and come back to work for the WWE. As noted, CM Punk moves a ton of merchandise for WWE, therefore WWE still wants to have some kind of relationship with him. (PWInsider reports) Also another reason is because they have invested a lot of time and money into the CM Punk character and his licensing.
With Vince wanting him back, there is said that Punk has some leverage on the WWE now. Even though Vince wants him back, Triple H is gaining more power these days and if HHH is done with Punk. Then he the chances of him coming back under the Triple H reign is unlikely.
Andrews Take: Punk is a top draw and other than John Cena and Daniel Bryan. Punk is number three. If Triple H has his way then i do not see Punk coming back any time soon. This has been the STORY of 2014 no doubt.
