Wednesday's WWE Main Event Rating Increases + Ziggler Speaks Out

– Of course WWE Main Event aired on the WWE Network Tuesday evening live then the next day on Ion they aired the taped version. The show featured Daniel Bryan defeating Kane. So with a taped version, how did the show do? The show did an averaged 1.487 million viewers. To show a comparison from last week, last week’s show did a 1.289 million viewers which is a 15% increase.

Andrews Take: I am very surprised that the show actually increased on a taped version. I understand that some people did not watch it on the WWE Network, but still an improvement.

– Dolph Ziggler spoke with democrattribune and here are some of the highlights from that conversation:

Wrestling with Kofi Kingston for the past years:

“Kofi Kingston and I have a good ongoing feud right now. We have been battling for the Intercontinental and the United State titles the last couple months. We have totally different styles but we somehow complement each other in ring.”

On His comedian side of his character:

“I try out new material on my Twitter followers and it’s a lot of fun. I can bring a witty side to the WWE if needed and that can lead to a television spot out the ring or to a movie part, just more to bring attention to the WWE.”

What motivates him to continue?

“There are days when you don’t feel good, you may be a little banged up or you’ve had 10 flight delays in the same day. If I was a fan sitting in the audience, I’d be disappointed if a top star didn’t wrestle. I want to give the fans a great show so I leave everything that may be bothering me in the dressing room, go out and give the show they want to see and then come back and deal with things that may have had be feeling down.”
