The Beast vs. The Streak.

At WrestleMania XXX, Brock Lesnar becomes the next man to challenge The Undertaker’s vaunted WrestleMania streak. The Undertaker has appeared at 21 previous WrestleManias, and won at them all.

In the past at WrestleMania, The Undertaker has defeated Jimmy “Superfly” Snuka, Jake “The Snake” Roberts, Shawn Michaels (twice), Triple H (three times), and most recently, CM Punk.

The build to this match has been pretty lackluster, with The Undertaker always having the upper-hand. However, Lesnar did stand tall after an F-5 on this past Monday’s Raw.

Andrew’s Take: This year has been one of the worst build-ups for The Streak, as The Undertaker has been built as a guy who was unstoppable and it should be Brock Lesnar instead. Isn’t that his role in the story? Brock Lesnar is the “Beast Incarnate”, he is the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. So why is he being built as just another wrestler or another Superstar. Every week leading up to this program, except for last Monday night, The Undertaker has been getting the upper-hand on Brock Lesnar, so why should we believe that Brock Lesnar has a chance of defeating The Undertaker? One thing is certain, there’s no doubt The Undertaker wins at WrestleMania XXX. Don’t be surprised if they have a really, really good match, but at the end of the day people are going to crap all over it The Undertaker got the upper hand on Brock Lesnar. In this match expect many chair shots from Brock Lesnar, but ultimately The Undertaker hits the tombstone for the win.

Andrew’s Prediction: The Undertaker wins via Tombstone.

Stephen’s Take: Really, there isn’t much to say about this match because let’s face it, the streak isn’t ending.  Brock Lesnar hasn’t even been built up as a strong in this program so far, which makes me think that Brock will dominate most of the match. It’s funny as well that no mention of the past history these guy have has been talked about. I don’t know why WWE doesn’t make note of that as that could be billed as reasoning the streak could be history.

Lesnar has been dominate over Taker in the past, bring that up!  Lesnar needs to have some big impact before Wrestlemania.  I am fine with this match because of the fact that Taker only shows up once a year and Lesnar shows up whenever he’s scheduled.  So why would you place some full time guy against Taker only to lose?

I know as well there are two guys out there that should be in line for this match in the next two Wrestlemanias, Sting and John Cena.  But we can go down those routes another day.  Right now, you’ll see Taker get beat down, but somehow pull it together, hit the tombstone, and lay waste to another victim of the streak.

Stephen’s Prediction: Undertaker for the win

Mike’s Take: This has been a really bad build. Normally a build like this would make me think Lesnar’s going to win, but I’m really skeptical of that happening.

The Undertaker is going to pull this one out and The Streak will stay alive. I do expect a really good match from these guys though. They know how to put on a show.

Mike’s Prediction: The Undertaker extends The Streak
