Former WWE Champion Backstage At Last Night's WWE Hall of Fame

- Former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam was indeed backstage at the WWE Hall of Fame last night. He’s officially in town for WrestleCon event, but spent some time with the WWE crew. He has been rumored as a late entry for the Andre the Giant Battle Royal for WrestleMania 30. RVD has been waiting and waiting to make his return to WWE TV and i strongly believe he will tonight.

- WWE Hall of Famer ‘High Chief’ Peter Maivia would have turned 77 today. He was born on April 6, 1937 and died at the age of 45 due to cancer on June 12, 1982.

- WCW “Spring Stampede” went down in 1997 on this day and aired from the Tupelo Coliseum, in Tupelo, Mississippi. 8,356 were in attendance to see Diamond Dallas Page defeat Randy Savage in a NO-DQ Match.

- WWF Raw defeated WCW Monday Nitro: 4.7 to 4.6 in the ratings back in 1998.

- WCW held Nitro back in 1998 and the show aired from the Miami Arena in Miami, Florida to see WCW World Heavyweight champion Sting defeat Kevin Nash via DQ to retain the belt.

- Finally, last year’s WrestleMania (29) was held from Metlife Stadium, in East Rutherford, New Jersey. There were 80,676 in attendance to see The Rock – John Cena 2 in the main event. Cena defeated Rock to win the WWE Title.
