WrestleMania XXX Preview: The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

At WrestleMania on Sunday, 30 of today’s Superstars will pay tribute to one of the best of all-time, Andre the Giant. The winner will get an Andre the Giant trophy. Here are the participants:

Andrew’s Take: Getting everyone on the roster in one match is fine, but that should be on the pre-show, also you have guys like The Big Show, Alberto Del Rio, and others who could be the main program in a single’s match other than this much. I won’t crap over this match its too much, but I think when you have so much TV time that the creative team got lazy and just booked this match instead of actually making programs for other superstars. There’s only one clear-cut winner and that’s The Big Show has history ties in everything that goes in between, this man and this match so that’s who I’m taking.

Andrew’s Prediction: The Big Show wins a trophy.

Stephen’s Take: For me, I want this match to be a stepping stone of sorts for someone. But then again, I want the Big Show to actually win because let’s face it, he’s been compared to Andre the Giant many times before. I would go to say that he’s better than Andre in most cases. He can obviously speak on the mic better. He can move in the ring better. He’s just an overall better performer than Andre. But it would seem very fitting for Big Show to take the trophy and end up carrying it around to wherever he goes.

I think Sheamus is another guy that just needs something to get him going in the right direction. But then I believe Christian ends up eliminating Sheamus and that sets up a match at Extreme Rules to get that feud over with. I am interested to see who some of the surprise entrants are as there are about five spots that are left.

Maybe Cody and Goldust eliminate each other to finally split them up as that’s long over due. Maybe Big E takes the title as he’s someone built up as a strong and physical type. He’s not doing anything with the IC title, so why not add a trophy to his collection. This should be another fun match to see as it’s very unpredictable with all my mentions of names.

Stephen’s Prediction: Sheamus to win

Mike’s Take: This match is going to be extremely spot-heavy. Don’t put too much stock in it. It should be a fun ride, just don’t expect it to be a launching point for somebody, it could be, I’m just not counting on it.

Mike’s Prediction: Alexander Rusev last eliminates Big Show
