The Undertaker’s Streak is Over: What Do We Do Now?

At WrestleMania XXX, The Undertaker’s infamous WrestleMania Streak, came to an abrupt end at the hands of Brock Lesnar.

The crowd decided to chant “We want refunds,” before correcting themselves and giving The Undertaker what he deserves, “Thank you Taker.”

The next night on Raw, Lesnar and his “advocate” Paul Heyman came out and were met with a mixed reaction. It came off as mostly boos on TV, but it sounded 50/50 in the building. Towards the end, it sounded more like cheers than boos, which is an absolute travesty.

The end of The Streak should mean something, and the only way that will happen is if the crowd meets Lesnar and Heyman with boos, even if that means booing Heyman’s new client, Cesaro, as a result.

For the next year, or longer if Lesnar resigns, Lesnar is going to destroy as many heroes as he can. If he beats Daniel Bryan, boo him. If he beats John Cena, boo him. If he beats Randy Orton, Batista, Fandango or Santino Marella, boo him.

After Lesnar goes on a path of destruction, which may include him winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, a young guy is going to beat him. That young guy is going to be the guy who stopped Lesnar. He’s going to be the guy who stopped the guy who ended The Streak, who took the title away from Bryan, who destroyed all the fan favorites. This past Monday, WWE started a storyline and told you who Lesnar would have his final match with and who would be the next man to beat him, and that man is going to be Cesaro.

Cesaro is going to go on a path of his own in the future. I’m not sure how he will get there, but I know where he’s going at WrestleMania 31 or 32.

If you boo Lesnar, Heyman and Cesaro now, you invest in what could be an incredible, superstar-making storyline for Cesaro. Not to mention pay respect to one of the greatest of all time, The Undertaker.

It’s up to the fans. Fans have called Lesnar beating The Streak a waste, but that will only be the case if the fans cheer Lesnar. If the fans boo Lesnar, and go crazy when Cesaro beats him, The Streak’s legacy will be that it made somebody, which is all the fans really want.
