This Sunday, #1 Contender Bad News Barrett is looking to recapture the Intercontinental Championship for the first time since he lost it to Curtis Axel at Payback in 2013, when he takes on the current champion, Big E.

Barrett competed in a tournament to name the #1 Contender the past three weeks on Raw, with him defeating Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus and Rob Van Dam, to earn the coveted spot. He has since called Big E a boring champion with no personality, while the usually charismatic Big E, has chosen to do his talking in the ring when his title is on the line.

Stephen’s Take: I don’t know if I’m that confident in my pick, but just don’t think the IC title does much for Bad News Barrett at this point. If anything, he would be high on my list for possible MITB winner.  That’s where I would go with him. But hopefully this match can be better than I anticipate.

Stephen’s Prediction: Big E retains

Mike’s Take: Barrett is a good choice for the Intercontinental Championship. He exemplifies everything that title should stand for, and I think he would be a good guy to give it to, so he can try and elevate it back to it’s old status.

Mike’s Prediction: Bad News Barrett wins the title
