The Shield are heading into their second big-time match against another three man team. At Elimination Chamber, they had a fantastic match with The Wyatt Family, now at Extreme Rules, they hope to match that performance against Evolution.
The Shield rebelled against Triple H the night after WrestleMania, but it wasn’t until a week later when they attacked Randy Orton and Batista, that the three men reformed Evolution in an attempt to show The Shield what it takes to be at the top.
Stephen’s Take: This could be a good steal the show match if all things are clicking. We all know how well the Shield work and last year Orton proved pretty strong against them. I’m most interested to see how much work Triple H does in this match and if anyone on the Shield side get the upper hand on him. I expect Roman Reigns to pick up the pin fall and continue his rise. I wouldn’t mind seeing Ambrose almost cost the Shield to lose, and he can get back to more of a heel character, where he belongs.
Stephen’s Prediction: The Shield
Mike’s Take: I expect this match, like all of The Shield’s six-man tags, to be excellent. Evolution is going to want to make sure that this match is great, as to not harm their legacy, plus the novelty of their first match together is going to be a huge bonus. This appears to be Batista’s last match before he goes on a hiatus to promote his movie. I think that means that this is a one-off match, and that means The Shield would win. However, don’t be surprised if a new, younger member of Evolution shows his face, and as a result, Evolution wins and this feud continues. I don’t think that will happen, but I would be very open to it.
