As we noted earlier, WWE plans on doing a Buried Alive match at WWE Payback between Daniel Bryan and Kane for the WWE title. There’s speculation that Kane may lose the Buried Alive match to Daniel Bryan at WWE Payback as a way to write him off TV for a few months until he returns to promote WWE Studios’ See No Evil 2.
It should be noted that The movie does not have an official release date yet, but it’s expected sometime in October. When Kane first gave up his mask last fall, the idea was that he would look more like his Jacob Goodnight character in the movie.
I have been saying this for some time that this feud could write Kane off of TV for some time or ever. I do not see him retiring at all, but I can see him taking some serious time off which he deserves. I can’t see Kane actually beating Bryan and if he did that would be a shocker, but giving the fans the belief that he can, is the point of all this so called wrestling!
Update: PWInsider has confirmed other reports that a Buried Alive match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title between Kane and Daniel Bryan is planned for WWE Payback next month.
