TNA is going to New York in June and August which is being talked about as their saving grace. Well, TNA began running radio ads in New York City on WFAN this week. For those unaware, WFAN is the most expensive sports radio station in the country to advertise on.
The odd thing is, the ads are for TNA’s August tapings, not the tapings in June that are having slow sales.
Another odd thing is that when TNA advertised who is going to be there, Jeff Hardy or his other name Willow was not mentioned. Eric Young, MVP, Bobby Lashley, Kenny King, Velvet Sky and “New York’s own Bully Ray”, were advertised.
Hardy’s contract with TNA is good until early 2015, so I do not see a problem with him and the company. It is odd that they are not advertising him, but yet it’s odd that they take their most popular star and repackage him into a character. Currently he is in a program with Bram, if that means anything.
