You had a feeling that this would happen and now it did. As noted earlier on the site, MVP, suffered a knee injury while doing a dour in Great Britain for Preston City Wrestling. He got injured when he was in a brawl outside the ring during a tag match and was limping badly after.

MVP was scheduled to wrestle at a PCW event in Lancashire, England, later Saturday, but the promotion, came out in the opening part of the show to announce he wouldn’t be wrestling due to the injury and was on crutches.

MVP stated that x-rays didn’t reveal the cause of the issue and he would be undergoing an MRI.

MVP did go onto to work for Dutch Pro Wrestling on Sunday. He appeared as their general manager as he was unable to wrestle. MVP was on crutches and appeared not to be able to put any weight on his knee.

MVP is set to challenge Eric Young in the main event of the 6/15 TNA Slammiversary PPV for the World Title.

Update: TNA executive John Gaburick announced via Twitter that MVP is out of Sunday’s Slammiversary main event. He also noted that a replacement would be announced later today.

Update 2x: MVP tweeted out the following about the news:

This a huge blow to TNA, but I have a feeling that since Bobby Lashley beat EY on Impact then that could be a possible replacement for him. Time will tell if that is the way they go.
