This weekend marks long time Ring Of Honor (ROH) wrestler Kevin Steen’s last match in the company. He is expected to be going to WWE and will likely start in developmental/NXT.
Here’s a bit of an introduction to Steen, for those who haven’t seen his work:
ROH runs two live events this weekend, with the first happening on Friday, July 18 at The Masonic Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
The matches that are advertised are as follows:
- Michael Elgin vs. Roderick Strong
- Kevin Steen vs. Silas Young in a No DQ match
- ACH & Cedric Alexander & Caprice Coleman vs. BJ Whitmer & Tadarius Thomas & Adam Page
- Adam Cole & Michael Bennett vs. Christopher Daniels & Frankie Kazarian
The following night, ROH will be in Dearborn, Michigan at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center. This event will be a TV taping that will be headlined by Kevin Steen vs. Steve Corino. The card will also feature Adam Cole vs. Rocky Romero and ACH vs. Tadarius Thomas.
Kevin Steen has wrestled in PWG, and several other independent promotions in his long career. Hopefully, WWE will not mess with his character and let him be.
