Brock Lesnar crushed John Cena last night in a 16 minute squash match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. He hit sixteen suplexes and two F-5’s to secure his dominant victory.
The question now is how will WWE begin the reign of The Beast Incarnate and Paul Heyman? We may have some answers for you.
TMZ did a brief interview with Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman regarding the night’s events and what could be next.
“I came, I saw, I conquered,” said Lesnar.
Well according to Wreslting Inc. via PWInsider, the merging of the belts that Lesnar mentioned will happen as soon as tonight.
Tonight’s WWE RAW from Las Vegas will feature a segment with new WWE World Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar being presented with the new title belt, featuring the new company logo.
As noted today, Lesnar told TMZ that he plans to merge the title belts so he doesn’t have to carry them both around. This is the “merging” he was referring to.
I’m looking forward to seeing the design of the new title. It will probably be a similar style to the old WWE Champion belt, but seeing these titles merged once and for all will be good to see. Next needs to be the Intercontinental Championship and the United States Championship.
Then there’s the speculation on who will challenge Brock Lesnar next for his new championship. You would think it’s going to be John Cena at Night of Champions, however, Lana posted something interesting on Twitter that may mean a whole lot or absolutely nothing.

Putting Rusev into a battle for the WWE World Heavyweight gold this early in his career would be a bold move. It could give the Bulgarian Brute his first loss that won’t look as bad against the current king of the WWE roster at the moment. Having him losing to another mid-card talent that is going nowhere would make no sense. Then again, Adam Rose hasn’t lost yet either since debuting on the main roster. His “loss” may have been when he starred in a promo that advertised Sonic.
