WWE will have some competition this Monday when the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards will be on NBC for the first time.
They are looking to add as many stars to the show on August 25th as possible to get viewers away from NBC. It seems like they will be going for a Hall of Fame panel regarding the state of the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
WWE has announced that a special WWE Hall of Fame Forum will kick off Monday’s RAW at 8pm EST.
The forum will feature Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair talking about the WWE World Heavyweight Title match with Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena at Night of Champions.
Hogan and Flair have had numerous appearances over the past few months on WWE TV. Hulk has been more of a television ambassador for the WWE Network and the company has been trying to put Flair into different roles to see where he fits. Ever since he signed a new deal, they haven’t found a way to consistently get him on any of WWE’s programs.
HBK tweeted about the upcoming event.
“Y’all just keep pullin’ me back! ‘Ol HBShizzle will be on #Raw Monday night. We’re talking @JohnCena/@BrockLensar rematch!! Yee-Haw!!!
The rematch of John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar at Night of Champions next month will test Cena’s ability to bounce back after the brutal beating he took from the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion at SummerSlam. Fans may roll their eyes at that, but Cena will probably show a little more offense.
We’ll also see how serious WWE is about letting Brock Lesnar be their champion as a part-time performer. Fans have expressed displeasure with both scenarios. If The Beast Incarnate does not defend the title successfully, we may see a certain former Shield member cash in at the big event of September. Stay tuned.
