PWG Battle of Los Angeles 2014: Night 3 Results

Sunday night marked the end of Pro Wrestling Guerilla’s Battle of Los Angeles.

With the first round taking place on Night 1 and Night 2, Night 3 hosted the final three-rounds of PWG BOLA, concluding with a 3-Way Match in the finals. Plus, a huge six-man tag, featuring Adam Cole and The Young Bucks, and a wild 10-man tag, which saw PWG say goodbye to Willie Mack.

These are the results from Night 3, courtesy of PWPonderings.com:

  1. 2014 Battle of Los Angeles Quarterfinal Round Match

After the match, Roderick Strong attacked O’Reilly. It would later be announced that O’Reilly could no longer compete, and that Strong would automatically advance to the finals.

  11. 2014 Battle of Los Angeles Final Round Match
Ricochet defeated Johnny Gargano and Roderick Strong

Ricochet is one of the best young talents on the independent scene, and he certainly deserved this win. He can perform some incredible feats of athleticism that most people can’t do. Expect to see his name everywhere after this win.

There are a few things I really want to see when the DVD comes out. First, I want to see the night-long story of Roderick Strong develop. PWG does not do a lot of DQ finishes, and doing one to eliminate AJ Styles from BOLA is a big decision. I would really like to see how that looked. Then, having Strong come out and attack Kyle O’Reilly and eliminating him from BOLA. Finally, how they kept Strong out of the decision of the final match, as they needed to protect Strong because he already became #1 Contender last month at 11.

The other thing I’d like to see is the 10-man tag match, and the goodbye to Mack. It was said to be a very emotional moment for Mack, the other men in the match, and the audience. Joey Ryan said this about the moment on Twitter:

All reports coming out of Reseda say that this was a very good weekend, which is exactly what we expect from PWG and BOLA.
