WWE SmackDown: Non-Spoiler Preview for September 5

Friday night will feature another episode of WWE SmackDown!

The mid-card title feuds will be on display and we are set to have a huge main event that will intertwine multiple storylines.

Will WWE be able to make up for the past few weeks of programming?

Dolph Ziggler vs. Cesaro

This match will feature parts of both mid-card feuds locking up on SmackDown as Dolph Ziggler is feuding with The Miz to retain the Intercontinental Championship and Cesaro is targeting Sheamus’ United States Championship.

Cesaro and Ziggler are both phenomenal in-ring workers. This could easily steal the show over the huge main event that is planned for later in the night.

More from SmackDown

After the poor matches of the past few weeks, something like this is desperately needed.

As for the result of the match, I can’t see Cesaro losing while he’s contending for a title. It wouldn’t make sense to weaken him, even against a title holder in Ziggler. Because of that, I would not count out a Miz and Damien Mizdow appearance at some point in this segment.

Prediction: Cesaro wins via pin-fall.

Heath Slater vs. Jimmy Uso

The Usos’ rivalry with Gold and Stardust for the Tag Team Championship has been fairly entertaining so far. The heel turn of The Dust Bros. made this very interesting because you want to see the new, darker side of this crazy duo. It’s something fresh for the audience.

As for this match, after Slater’s tag team partner Titus O’Neil has been losing to the likes of Adam Rose numerous times, I can’t see the upset being pulled off here.

Prediction: Jimmy Uso wins via pin-fall.

Paige vs. Brie Bella

This match could get some time. Paige is a solid ring worker and will likely carry a decent portion of this match since Brie Bella’s ring work is okay at best.

These two are being put together after the segment on Monday Night RAW when Stephanie McMahon gave Nikki Bella a Divas Championship shot at a future date. AJ Lee and Paige would both come out to the ring to see what was going on.

This battle probably won’t see a winner because it wouldn’t make sense to have either lose clean. One of Nikki or AJ will be seen somewhere in this match.

Prediction: Brie Bella wins via disqualification.

Zack Ryder vs. Bo Dallas

It would be nice to see Jack Swagger get some revenge on Bo Dallas from the way he has looked lately. If Swagger decides to interfere in what we can assume will be a quick match, Zack Ryder will get a win!

Prediction: Zack Ryder wins via pin-fall.

John Cena, Roman Reigns, Big Show, Mark Henry, and Chris Jericho vs. Kane, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan

There’s a few changes from RAW’s big main event, but it has increased in size to a large, 5-on-5 match-up that will feature plenty of feuds all in one fight.

On Monday, the faces came out of the big six man tag team match victorious. Roman Reigns stood tall after spearing Kane to close out the match.

The heels should win this match because they all need a momentum boost from recent booking. Seth Rollins shouldn’t have been disposed of once the bell rang to close the match. Kane hasn’t won a match in an eternity and the booking of the Wyatt Family has been terrible for most of the summer.

WWE: Sometimes, the bad guys do come out on top.

Prediction: Kane, Seth Rollins, Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan win via pin-fall.
