How did the crowning of the first ever Smackdown Live Women’s Champion play out at WWE Backlash?

The Six Pack Challenge was a great way to start Backlash’s return.  It showed an exciting match in a chaotic fashion.  This match was given a big fight feel after being promoted by Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan.

The premise behind the match was to crown Smackdown’s Women’s Champion.  With so many women involved, it was easily predicted that this match would be full throttle from the start.  There was so much talent within it that it could prove to be match of the night.

The match started in a melee with all six women in the ring at the same time.  It began as a hard hitting match with lots of action but eventually spun off into one on one matches.

Two of the young stars from NXT gained a chance to battle against each other renewing their previous rivalry.  They wouldn’t be alone for long as the other competitors started to trickle in.

A match that had seemed to calm down a bit continued its chaotic origins.  These ladies were pulling out all the stops and diving deep into the well.  Naomi took out all of her competition by diving to the outside and seemed to be in control.

She was left in the ring with Alexa Bliss causing Bliss to become the first competitor eliminated after a beautiful springboard back into the ring from Naomi.  Her momentum wouldn’t last long after falling victim to the sharpshooter.  This left Natayla, Becky Lynch, Nikki Bella, and Carmella fighting for the championship.

Nikki Bella takes out an old rival Natalya although the roles are reversed at this point.  The Queen of Staten Island continues to add feud to the fire by rolling up Bella.  The veteran favorite to become champion was now eliminated and took offense to the disrespect by Carmella.  Her statement costed her the chance to become champion.

Becky Lynch finishes Carmella with the Disarmer as she wins her first Women’s Championship in WWE.  After the emotional victory and giving her all, she tells the fans why she is glad to be the inaugural SD Live Women’s Champion
