NXT TakeOver: Toronto takes place on Saturday night, so here’s a look at the matches on the card.

NXT TakeOver: Toronto comes live tonight from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It’s the first time a TakeOver event has been held in Canada, and the first outside America since NXT TakeOver: London in December 2015. The card features five matches, with every title in NXT set to be defended on the night, as well as the final of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.

At the top of the card, we will see Shinsuke Nakamura defend his NXT title against Samoa Joe. Nakamura won the title from Joe back at TakeOver: Brooklyn II back in August, with the former champion, then attacking the newly crowned king of NXT on TV. Since that attack, Joe has been attacking other members of the NXT roster, something that he thought was necessary to get him his deserved rematch. That bout comes in Toronto, whether he can regain the title is anyone’s guess.

The NXT Women’s Champion Asuka, will put her title on the line against former WWE Women’s and Divas Champion, Mickie James. James returns to NXT to offer the biggest threat to Asuka since she won the title over WrestleMania weekend in Dallas.

The Revival pairing of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder, will put their NXT Tag Team titles on the line against Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa, also known as DIY. The Champs have been in a battle of wits with the indy darlings since they made their names in NXT many months ago. Both have attacked each other, causing injuries and doubt over whether we’d ever see another match between the pair. This will be a 2 out of 3 falls encounter, it’ll have to be good to better the title match they contested back in Brooklyn.

The final of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic will see The Authors of Pain (Rezar and Akam), with Paul Ellering, go up against TM-61 (Nick Miller and Shane Thorne). Alluring will be suspended above the ring in a steel cage, to stop him getting involved in the match. The Authors of Pain have been undefeated in NXT since their arrival, whilst TM-61 have grown in stature in recent months, this should be a great match to finish off the tournament.

The final match on the night will see Bobby Roode go one on one with Tye Dillinger. Roode chose Dillinger to be his team mate in the Dusty Rhodes Classic, but they lost out to the debuting SAnitY on NXT TV. Roode has been a big hit since making his debut in NXT, but Dillinger is a massive favorite with the NXT crowd.
