Randy Orton made a bold statement when comparing WrestleMania and the Super Bowl.

Randy Orton is never one to hold back his comments, which can be seen all over his Twitter. Even looking back at his recent gym incident with a fan is something to take into account.

The latest headline comment comes from a recent interview with NBC Washington. Orton would be asked about comparing the Super Bowl to WrestleMania. This is with Super Bowl LI taking place on Sunday between the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons. He would say that the Super Bowl “ain’t got s–t on WrestleMania” (h/t Wrestling Inc).

"“Wrestlemania is the Super Bowl of wrestling. Royal Rumble is getting in — winning the Royal Rumble is getting into the Super Bowl of wrestling. Screw the Super Bowl, we’re talking about Wrestlemania. Super Bowl ain’t got s–t on Wrestlemania. Wrestlemania is the biggest show on earth, the greatest show on earth, and I feel like everyone knows that."

Wrestling fans will be in favor of this notion, as WrestleMania is the biggest day of the year for WWE and maybe in all of sports entertainment. Attendance numbers usually cross 60,000-70,000 people and memorable moments are created. This goes for the Super Bowl as well, except it’s more of a mainstream platform since nearly one-third of the country watches the game.

For those wrestling fans that don’t like football, the Super Bowl won’t be regarded as much, which pretty much goes with what Orton said in the interview. The Super Bowl is a grand stage, but in the eye’s of wrestling fans, it may be regarded as second fiddle.
