WWE: The Miz Splits His Pants in Title Match on Raw (Video)

The Miz had an embarrassing gaffe on WWE Raw, when his pants split during a championship match. He finished the match, but this article of clothing didn’t survive.

The Miz won the WWE Intercontinental Championship at Extreme Rules from Dean Ambrose, and the two have feuded since. It’s seen them trade words and involve bears in their rivalry, but on Monday’s episode of Raw, something unusual happened.

At the top of the 9:00 p.m. ET hour, Kurt Angle made The Miz vs. Heath Slater for the Intercontinental Championship to happen right there and then. This lasted multiple segments, resulting in the A-lister winning, after a distraction from the Miztourage at ringside.

However, during the match, Miz suffered his own “loss,” as in the defeat of the white pants he had to wrestle in, ones that aren’t exactly made for wrestling. As he went for a backbreaker that turned into a neckbreaker, a vertical slice was seen in the center of the rear of his pants.

Well, I guess that’s what happens when you wrestle in a button-down shirt, dress pants, a black belt and shoes. It’s not the ideal situation for competing in a match, but the former Real World star pulled it off on Monday night — somewhat.

With this win, Miz will defend the Intercontinental Championship against Dean Ambrose at WWE Great Balls of Fire. The match will take place on Sunday, July 9, at the American Airlines Arena in Dallas, TX. Hopefully, for Miz’s sake, WWE lets him wrestle in his regular in-ring attire.
