Poll: Who Should Brock Lesnar Face At Summerslam?

AUTHOR: | IN: Poll, WWE | COMMENTS: None Yet

Now that the controversy surrounding Brock Lesnar’s loss to John Cena at Extreme Rules has settled down a little, it’s now time to turn to what’s next for Lesnar. It seems as though the WWE is preparing for a Lesnar/Triple H feud after the broken arm angle that took place on RAW this past Monday. If that is indeed the case, then it would make the most sense for those two to square off at Summerslam. Given the amount of limited dates on Lesnar’s contract, it’s likely that his next match won’t take place until the summer tradition, as using [...]

Power Rankings, Week #4 (with Royal Rumble predictions!)

AUTHOR: | IN: Power Rankings, Wrestling | COMMENTS: None Yet

Another week, another edition of the Daily DDT Power Rankings. Who were the best acts in this week in pro wrestling? Let’s dive right in and find out. Dropping from the poll this week: John Cena (10), Beer Money (8) Wrestler Rank Last Week Trending Cody Rhodes 10 – Rhodes gets the nod this week for a terrific promo that he cut on Smackdown this past Friday. I was not initially a fan of the “Dashing” gimmick he is currently using, but I have grown to accept it as a funny, annoying mid-card heel gimmick. Rhodes has sat in limbo [...]

Starting today, January 2, 2011, and going forward each and every week of the 2011 year, I will be delivering my opinions on the most entertaining wrestlers or wrestling-related acts of the week that was. Each week, I’ll be scouring both WWE and TNA and ranking the top ten acts on television that week. The Power Rankings will encompass a few important, wrestling-related factors: 1) In-ring performance: This includes not only how well a wrestler worked in the ring, but also (gasp) whether he won or lost. Of [...]

The good and bad of John Cena’s injury

AUTHOR: | IN: Popular, Wrestling | COMMENTS: 2 Comments

On Tuesday night at a house show event in Wilkes-Barre, PA, WWE’s flagship John Cena appears to have suffered a legitimate leg injury during the tail end of a cage match with former Nexus leader Wade Barrett. You can read various reports of it over at PWTorch, including this one that initially describes the injury and this video of Cena’s speech following the injury. Depending on how long Cena will have to stay away from the ring due to the injury, the WWE may have a serious issue on their hands. Not only is Cena the WWE’s top draw and [...]

The epic rivalry between The Undertaker and the World Champion, Kane, continues on Smackdown.  Kane had a “major announcement” that would shake things up going into Night of Champions in a few weeks.  What was it?  Read on and find out. Video Package: The Undertaker was attacked and put in a vegetative state.  Kane stood up for his brother and believed it was Rey Mysterio who attacked.  It wasn’t.  It was the “Big Red Monster” himself.  Since then, the Brothers of Destruction have been at odds. Alberto Del Rio is introduced and comes to the ring where a fiesta is [...]
