The Wrestling World – 4/5/10
Okay, so there’s been some big and small news over the weekend, so I figure I’d give you some of the details on what went down with WWE, TNA and ROH: ***SUPERSTARS GONE FROM TNA*** The not so shocking firing in TNA was The Nasty Boys. I thank God that it happened because NO ONE wanted to see those two guys. From what I’ve read, it was because TNA had to discipline them for something that Brian Knobbs did… Not sure what. The other superstar gone from TNA which is a total shocker is “The Fallen Angel” Daniels. Now the [...]
TNA Destination X – Results/Reactions
In the final PPV before Lockdown, TNA puts the X Division under the lights by bringing back the signature Ultimate X Match! Along with eight other matches, the nearly three hour PPV was jam packed with action. Here’s how things went down last night from the Impact Zone: LADDER MATCH – X Division #1 CONTENDER MATCH Brian Kendrick vs. Amazing Red vs. Daniels vs. Kazarian WINNER: Kazarian via grabbing the contract Great contest. A lot of ladder spots as expected. Kazarian finished the match by suplexing Daniels off the top of a ladder while his legs were stuck in two [...]
TNA Destination X – Preview/Predictions
Tonight TNA presents it’s Destination X PPV live! There are nine big bouts on the card, so let’s get right into the preview and predictions: TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH AJ Styles (Champion) vs. Abyss SHOULD: Styles WILL: Styles Over the course of the last month, Abyss was given Hulk Hogan‘s Hall of Fame ring, and has found new strength in himself, which he attributes to Hulkamania flowing through him. Styles has been mentored by “Nature Boy” Ric Flair and has taken it to a new level that we’ve never really seen AJ go as a heel. When it comes [...]
TNA Impact! – 3/15/10
After all the drama that went down last week on TNA Impact, what would the fallout be leading into the Destination X PPV? Find out what went down last night on Spike TV: Backstage: Hulk Hogan, Abyss, Jeff Hardy & Rob Van Dam arrive at the Impact Zone in a Hummer. Ric Flair & AJ Styles come to the ring. Styles takes the mic, “Abyss, you scary looking, but stupid monster, do you think some magical ring is going to help you? We’ve had some classic battles, but the results are always the same… AJ Styles up. Abyss down!” Flair [...]
Meet Your X-Division Champion
Since there was no wrestling programming on last night, I figured I would try to help my viewers get to know certain wrestlers that may not have been on TV for very long or may not get the proper rub when it comes to the weekly programming. So today I bring to you the current TNA X-Division Champion, Doug Williams. Doug Williams first appeared in TNA during the 2008 World X Cup, but never really became a consistent member of the TNA roster till appearing with The British Invasion in 2009. Since then, Doug Williams has mainly been a tag [...]
TNA Impact! – 3/8/10
TNA Impact on a Monday night again..? Yes, this is really it! The Monday Night War is back on! The evening started out with a bang last night, so let’s get right to what went down: Video Package: TNA Impact NEW introduction and theme. Abyss & Hulk Hogan come to the ring. Hogan takes mic, “It’s time to cut the clowning. It’s time to take care of business. Ric Flair, AJ Styles, you better get ready now! This is TNA’s reckoning day! Bring your asses to the ring!” Abyss & Hulk Hogan vs. Ric Flair & AJ Styles WINNERS: No [...]
Wrestling Weekend Update
So since my last news update there are some more headlines to bring up: *** WWE Releases More From The Roster *** WWE has now released two more from their roster: Charlie Haas Referee, Scott Armstrong It’s a shame that Haas hasn’t been getting used much as of late. He’s got great talent in the ring. Last I saw him, they paired him up with Mike Knox and they jobbed out in a tag team match. Scott Armstrong is a shocker to me. WWE has a bunch of referees, but I think that Armstrong was one of the better ones [...]
TNA Impact! – 2/18/10
What would be the backlash coming out of Against All Odds for the TNA roster? If you missed Impact last night, here’s what happened: Backstage: Eric Bischoff gets out of his limo. He’s on the phone with someone. After he hangs up the phone he says, “Let the games begin!” Video Package: A highlight reel of what went down at Against All Odds and the all important Monday press conference. “Pope” D’Angelo Dinero comes to the ring, “Pope is pimpin! At Against All Odds, Pope defied the odds, and here I stand the #1 contender for the TNA World Championship… [...]
