Last night, TNA wrestling put aside normal wrestling to get a little extreme.  Hardcore Justice was to be the last stand for many of the 90s superstars that ushered into mainstream wrestling the art of violence.  Who would rise up and make good on their last chance?  Find out right here:

Show kicks off with Taz making the opening statements.

• It’s also announced that Jerry Lynn is injured, and the main event has been changed.

Six Man Tag Match
The FBI (Tony Mamaluke, Little Guido and Tracy Smothers) vs. Kid Kash, Simon Diamond & Johnny Swinger
WINNERS: FBI via pin fall after Guido hit Swinger with the Unprettier

CW Anderson vs. 2 Cold Scorpio
WINNER: Scorpio via pin fall after hitting a moonsault variation

Justin Credible vs. Stevie Richards with Nova & (fake) Blue Meanie
WINNER: Richards via pin fall after hitting the Stevie Kick

• Post match, Credible attacks Richards from behind with a kendo stick.  The Sandman comes out and whoops up on Credible.

Elimination Triple Threat Match
Brother Runt vs. Al Snow vs. Rhino
1st Elim: Runt eliminates Al Snow after hitting a Dudley Dog for a pin fall
WINNER: Rhino via pin fall after hitting a GORE GORE GORE

Axl Rotten & Balls Mahoney vs. Team 3D with Joel Gertner (former ECW manager)
WINNERS: Team 3D via pin fall on Balls Mahoney after powerbombing him through a flaming table

• Post match, Team 3D gets on the mic and claims they’re the greatest tag team of all time.  Out walk The Gangstas (New Jack & Mustapha Saed)  who beat down 3D with all kinds of weapons including a staple gun to Brother Devon’s nuts all the while hip-hop music is playing.  Ending of this sequence is just odd because all the guys hug it out in the ring… respect is show.

Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven – Special Ref, Mick Foley
WINNER: Raven via pin fall after hitting the Evenflow DDT on Dreamer into a chair

Non-Title Match
Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu with Bill Alfonso
WINNER: RVD via pin fall after hitting the 5 Star Frog Splash

All the wrestlers come out to the ring and have a celebratory beer.  The fans break into a “f**k you Vince” chant.

QUICK THOUGHTS:

Throughout the show there were also little video segments with TNA superstars responding to their memories of hardcore wrestling as well as different tribute videos to some of the “extreme elite” like Joey Styles & Paul Heyman.

I’m shocked as all hell that “Mr. Justifiable Homicides” aka New Jack showed up.  I guess when Tommy Dreamer calls you up, you answer the phone.  I don’t doubt that he and most of the other guys on this bill were hurting for cash so they absolutely jumped on the chance for a pay day.

Glad to see the co-main events go the way they did.  RVD is TNA’s champion and you know he had to go over, and while it’s disappointing to see Tommy Dreamer lose to Raven after getting to see Tommy more over the past few years, it’s somewhat fitting that in this storied ECW rivalry the heel gets the final say.

There are plenty of rumors as to how these guys will be involved, but nothing is on the official website when it comes to a card.  TNA has officially announced on Impact that the main event will be Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn, and that Mick Foley will be a special guest referee for Tommy Dreamer vs. Raven, but that’s really it when it comes down to it.  I’m sure that there’s going to be some more names that show up randomly at the last minute, and there are some names floating around on the internet, but because they haven’t been announced, I’m not going to spread any more rumors.

Ultimately I’m going to make one prediction… The Impact Zone is going to be getting a show unlike any other they’ve seen down in Florida!
