Cyndi Lauper’s Mother’s Day Celebration

Of course we’ve got faces and heels hanging out together, because kayfabe be damned!

Iron Sheik and Volkoff are mad because they got their invitations late and couldn’t invite their mothers.

Freddie Blassie introduces a young, attractive woman as his mother. Sneaky Gene tries to grab a kiss but to no avail.

Hogan (w/ a special lady aka Mom) babbles on about how it’s a great party, except for Sheik and Volkoff.

This is one of the worst segments I’ve ever seen.

Moolah wasn’t invited, but she’s come to crash the party. Uh oh…cake alert. Even in 1985, if you’ve got cake and professional wrestling together, someone’s going in it. Moolah calls Lauper’s mom a scarecrow. “She looks more like a latrine.” That’s what got Lauper, as Gene and Moolah ended up in the cake.
