The Authority and Randy Orton backstage
The Authority were laughing about John Cena and Dean Ambrose tearing each other apart, but Orton interrupted them.
Orton said that Seth Rollins thinks he is the future, but the future is a long way away. He said Cena and Ambrose could both beat Rollins any day of the week, and he wants to prove his superiority over Rollins.
Orton asked to face the loser of the Cena-Ambrose match at Hell in a Cell, and The Authority gave him the match.
Dolph Ziggler vs. Randy Orton
Orton and Ziggler had a back-and-forth match, as Cesaro was on commentary, and spent most of the time lobbying for an Intercontinental Championship shot.
Halfway through, Seth Rollins came down and watched from the ramp.
Towards the end of the match, Orton was dominant, with Ziggler having a few short spurts of offense.
Ziggler went for a Fameasser, but Orton caught him in position for a powerbomb, but he tossed him up in the air and caught him for an awesome RKO.
Orton defeats Ziggler via pinfall.
3.5 out of 5 stars – Really good match. I hate seeing midcard champions play as high-level jobbers, but the match, especially the finish, was awesome.
After the match, Rollins came in and shared an interesting moment with Orton, before he curb stomped Ziggler.
