Gold and Stardust vs. The Usos in a Steel Cage Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship
The Usos looked good early on, but Gold and Stardust were able to take over.
Goldust was the man in control for most of the match, but he would eventually lose it, tagging out to Stardust as The Usos started to get on a roll.
The finish came when The Usos used the superplex/top-rope splash combo on Goldust, but Stardust came in and got the roll-up victory.
Gold and Stardust defeat The Usos via pinfall.
2.5 out of 5 stars – I had trouble getting into this one, mostly due to the nonsensical rules.
There is no reason to have tags in a match like this. First of all, it looks silly when a guy can’t be DQ’d, yet he just stands on the apron and watches his partner take a beating. Second, when a guy tries to climb out of the Cage, as his opponent is down, but there’s two guys standing on the apron, just watching him climb.
WWE needs to reevaluate the way they book some of these tag matches.
